The Brief

Our brief was to position working with Aldi as an attractive opportunity for graduates to establish a career by developing a campaign for Aldi’s Area Manager Training programme.

The Challenge

With our specific focus on graduates, we needed to align the message with their values. The Aldi Area Manager Training Programme offers a number of benefits, including a very generous salary but our insight suggested that graduates aren’t just in a job for the money. We needed to establish the programme as offering a career path to graduates that provides further opportunities and progression, not limited to financial gain.

The Idea

We felt the best way to target graduates and students was a digital first campaign that would track and register their level of intent. Through innovative use of social, we were able to reach our higher intent audiences with specific creative to increase the conversion rates. By also targeting parents and teachers, we were able to encourage them to tag or share the post with students or graduates that may also have an interest in the programme.

The Work

Using Snapchat and Instagram Stories ads, we geo-targeted various graduate fairs across Ireland allowing Aldi to have a digital presence. Linked Facebook Canvas ads allowed us to reach our audience with a large amount of information within their newsfeed. Finally, we shot and produced a number of videos that told the stories of Aldi area managers that have completed the programme. These allowed us to tell real stories to our audience and promote benefits that are sought by them.v
